Putting on Humility

My dear son,

As you choose your clothes this morning, clothe your heart with humility too. I am not asking you to speak poorly of yourself. You are precious, and I want you to recognize how precious other people are as well.

Under my hand, you do not need to hurry to prove your place. You can gladly learn what you need to learn and say thank you when someone helps. You do not have to grasp anxiously for your own advancement.

Bring kind words and listening ears to the people you meet today. Be faithful in your work without taking sole responsibility for every outcome. Let your Father be someone you willingly lean on.

With all my love,
Your Father
