Alpha & Omega · About this space
A little Scripture,
at the start and end of your day.
Letters from God — Alpha & Omega (Α · Ω) is a devotional space from Go&Back. Open a morning or evening letter, then read the Scripture passage and short reflection beneath it.
Pause here before the day begins or as it draws to a close. There is room for joyful days, ordinary days, and days when you need comfort. Take your time with a sentence that stays with you and consider what it means for your life.
The people and approach behind the letters
Ministry and letter review: Seongwon Hwang · Go&Back
The letters are prepared around Bible passages. Seongwon Hwang, a Christian ministry worker, reviews and revises the collection, considering the passage in context, avoiding assumptions about the reader, and looking for thoughtful connections with everyday life.
The English collection adapts the Korean letters into natural English while preserving their Scripture references and themes. One of the prepared letters is selected at random. The affectionate voice and unfolding-envelope animation are creative expressions designed to make reading Scripture feel welcoming.
The devotional letter, actual Bible passage, and short reflection are clearly separated. After reading the letter, read the Scripture and follow “Read the chapter” to explore the surrounding context.
How can I turn a daily Bible verse into a devotional?
Read a sentence from your letter alongside the passage that inspired it. Put one thought from the Scripture into your own words, then connect it with a practical action or prayer.
The morning devotional guide helps you choose one small step for the day. The evening devotional guide helps you reflect on gratitude, relationships, and rest.
How do I open a letter?
Choose Male or Female, then select a morning or evening envelope. You can open either envelope at any time. Your choice affects the letter’s greeting, not the Scripture passage.
Are the words in the letter Bible verses?
The letter is a devotional reflection written in a warm, conversational voice. The Scripture passage itself is displayed separately underneath, followed by a short explanation. Read these together and consider the passage in its wider context.
Can I return to today’s letter?
On the same browser, you can reopen your morning and evening letters for the current day. The English version follows your device’s local date; the Korean version follows Korean time. “Open another letter” chooses a new letter and saves it as today’s selection. You can also copy a letter or save its image.
Can I switch languages while reading?
Use 한국어 or English at the top of the page. When a letter is open, the language link takes you to the same letter in the other language. Your selected greeting is retained. The two language versions keep separate daily selections because their dates may differ.
Will my letters appear on another device?
The selected greeting and today’s letter identifiers are saved in your current browser. They are not synced between devices or browsers. Clearing this site’s data also removes those selections. A letter’s permanent link lets you open that particular letter elsewhere.
Which English Bible translation is used?
The English passages use the World English Bible Updated (WEB), an American English translation in the public domain. This site uses a January 2025 text snapshot, with the Bible book, chapter, verse, and source shown alongside each passage. “Read the chapter” opens eBible.org’s reading site.
