Remember the People Who Worked beside You
My dear son,
When you disagree with someone, do not erase all the time you have labored together. Paul urged two coworkers toward unity while still honoring their work. I want you to see each other as whole people, beyond the present disagreement.
If something needs resolving, you may ask for help. A space to hear both stories fully may be needed. Speak truthfully about what must be put right instead of hurrying to act as though nothing has happened.
Thank someone close to you for good work you notice today. Make caring words a regular part of your relationships. I delight in seeing you patiently seek a way to remain together in Jesus.
With all my love,
Your Father
Philippians 4:2–3
WEB2I exhort Euodia, and I exhort Syntyche, to think the same way in the Lord.
3Yes, I beg you also, true partner, help these women, for they labored with me in the Good News with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.
A short reflection
Paul urges Euodia and Syntyche, who labored for the gospel, to agree in the Lord and asks a fellow worker to help them.
