Courage Joined with Love and Self-Control
My dear son,
Use the good gift entrusted to you with care today. As someone tends a fading fire, bring fresh attention to the abilities and faith you have received. I want to lead you into courage shaped by love and self-control.
You need not speak loudly to be brave. You can tell the truth calmly, respect people, and still choose what is right. Rely on my power and ask for the strength you need. You do not have to prove yourself alone.
Begin with a small effort within your reach this morning. When sharing faith, speak honestly and hear the other person's questions. May power, love, and sound judgment stay together in your day.
With all my love,
Your Father
2 Timothy 1:6–8
