Honest Words Resting on Grace
My dear son,
When meeting people today, choose honest words over a polished version of yourself. I treasure your willingness to stand openly and truthfully. Saying that you do not know something does not diminish how precious you are to me.
Rely on grace instead of maneuvering around people's reactions. Faithfully share what you know and accept your responsibilities. If you have done wrong, acknowledge it and seek a way to repair it. You do not need concealment to remain loved.
Set your heart comfortably before me this morning. Consider a path your conscience can walk without shame. I want you to preserve sincerity and build relationships in which people can trust your words.
With all my love,
Your Father
2 Corinthians 1:12
WEB12For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience that in holiness and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we behaved ourselves in the world, and more abundantly toward you.
A short reflection
Paul appeals to his conscience, saying he has acted toward the Corinthians with God-given sincerity and grace rather than worldly cleverness.
