Hands That Shared the Journey
My dear son,
Your help can carry love even when you are not in the foreground. I value work that often goes unnoticed. Mary, Joanna, Susanna, and other women accompanied Jesus and provided for the group's needs from their own resources.
Speaking in front of others is not the only service that matters. Preparing food, carrying supplies, and giving your time can make a shared journey possible. Such care has a place in the work of my kingdom.
When you notice someone's quiet effort today, thank them. If there is something you can contribute, offer it gladly. Let us enjoy a day of recognizing each other's help and rejoicing in what we can do together.
With all my love,
Your Father
Luke 8:1–3
WEB1Soon afterwards, he went about through cities and villages, preaching and bringing the good news of God’s Kingdom. With him were the twelve,
2and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary who was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out;
3and Joanna, the wife of Chuzas, Herod’s steward; Susanna; and many others who served them from their possessions.
A short reflection
As Jesus proclaims God's kingdom, the twelve and several women accompany him, and the women support the group from their own resources.
