Love to Remember Each Morning
My dear son,
Morning has come, and I want you to know again that my love has not run out. I will not begin by asking what you accomplished yesterday. My compassion is here beside you as this new day begins.
The grieving voice in Lamentations held on to my unfailing love even in deep sorrow. I am not a Father who stays close only on happy days. Whatever color this day takes, you may tell me about it.
I am glad you have come near this morning. I will hear your thanks and your requests. We can rejoice together when you feel joyful, and you may stay quietly when you need stillness. My love for you continues today.
With all my love,
Your Father
Lamentations 3:21–23
WEB21This I recall to my mind; therefore I have hope.
22It is because of the LORD’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his mercies don’t fail.
23They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness.
A short reflection
The suffering speaker in Lamentations finds hope in the Lord's unending love, mercies renewed each morning, and great faithfulness.
