Leave Room to Learn

My dear son,

I value your experience and what you have learned. Keep room, though, for what you do not yet know. A person who asks humbly before me has space within their heart to receive new wisdom.

Your judgment can miss something. Listen fully to another person's words, and make a correction when you discover a mistake. May reverence for me and a willingness to turn from evil guide the knowledge you already have.

Even in familiar work today, check what needs checking. Saying you do not know does not reduce your worth. Let us begin the day using what you have learned well and gladly welcoming whatever else there is to learn.

With all my love,
Your Father
