Promises Built on Faithfulness
My dear son,
My promises are more than words offered for a moment's reassurance. Truth and justice shape my works and teaching, and I faithfully keep my covenant with my people. You can live trusting the love behind that commitment.
Treat your own promises carefully, too. Someone may arrange their time and wait because they trust your words. Even in small matters, speak honestly about what you can do, and communicate faithfully when circumstances change.
Be a dependable neighbor to the people sharing your day. Truthful words have more worth than language meant to make you appear perfect. Entrust your desire for words and actions to agree to me. I will give you wisdom.
