Requests and Praise in One Morning
My dear son,
Your prayer today can hold both requests and gratitude. You can ask for needed help and praise me in the same breath. Your heart has room for more than one feeling; bring it to me truthfully.
I treasure your desire to hear and understand my word. Ask me for directions, and when you have little strength for asking, a brief call is enough. I want my righteous teaching to be alive within your heart.
Will you sing in your own voice of the love you have come to know? A small thank-you while preparing for the day is welcome. Let us enjoy this morning together, as I hear your prayer and you hear my word.
With all my love,
Your Father
Psalms 119:169–172

170Let my supplication come before you. Deliver me according to your word.
171Let my lips utter praise, for you teach me your statutes.
172Let my tongue sing of your word, for all your commandments are righteousness.
A short reflection
