Opening the Word, Letting in Light
My dear son,
May opening my word this morning feel like opening a door to light. You do not need to understand everything from the start. I am a Father who gives understanding to those willing to learn.
Pause and ask about an unfamiliar sentence, or take a fresh look at a familiar passage. I gladly welcome your desire to read and obey. An honest encounter with my word matters more than how many pages you finish.
Tell me what you discover today. You can explore a difficult passage with other people of faith. As a small light brightens a path, may the love you come to understand find its way into the hours of your day.
