Receiving a Meal with Gratitude
My dear son,
Please take good care of your body today. Food grown from the earth strengthens you, and the pleasure of a meal can refresh your heart. These are good gifts I have given for you to receive.
I care for living creatures, from the grass animals eat to the crops people cultivate and gather. Give proper value to the food and rest you need through your day. Your body is precious to me, too.
As you eat, receive with thanks the labor that brought food to your table. If you share a meal, welcome each other's stories. May even an ordinary meal become a place where love and enjoyment are at home in your day.
With all my love,
Your Father
Psalms 104:14–15

15wine that makes the heart of man glad, oil to make his face to shine, and bread that strengthens man’s heart.
A short reflection
