A Breath Beneath His Wings
My dear son,
Like a small bird settling beneath sheltering wings, lean on me with a peaceful heart. The love covering you is a promise you can trust. My faithfulness is a shield upon which you can depend.
As you gather what you need and prepare for today, talk with me. Bring the places where you need strength along with your gratitude. You do not need to try to keep everything secure by your own effort.
Take a quiet breath beside me before setting out. Pay attention to the road, and accept one another's help as you walk. May your heart begin this day calm and steady within the love that holds you.
