Before the One Who Made Your Heart
My dear son,
I made your heart, and I watch over you today. I know what you do before other people and what you do where nobody sees. There is no need to make yourself look impressive before me.
I see both the work of your hands and the heart within it. Do not dismiss the time you spend living honestly simply because few people notice. Give your attention to another person's quiet work, too.
Tell me what you are carrying in your heart this morning. We can share happy plans as well as uncertain thoughts. Live truthfully before the one who knows you. A day shared with you in that honesty is precious to me.
With all my love,
Your Father
Psalms 33:13–15
WEB13The LORD looks from heaven. He sees all the sons of men.
14From the place of his habitation he looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth,
15he who fashions all of their hearts; and he considers all of their works.
A short reflection
The psalmist declares that the Lord watches all people from heaven, having formed their hearts and knowing all their deeds.
