You Are Not Forgotten
My dear son,
I want you to know how precious you are to your Father today. I do not forget even a little sparrow sold for very little. The one who knows the hairs of your head does not pass your life by carelessly.
You do not have to attract attention to receive my care. Tell me about the ordinary details of your day. Do not measure yourself by the price or importance other people assign to you.
If something frightening arises, ask the Father who knows you so closely for strength. Work faithfully and treat your own life with care. Extend that same tenderness to the small creatures and people beside you today.
With all my love,
Your Father
Luke 12:6–7
WEB6“Aren’t five sparrows sold for two assaria coins ? Not one of them is forgotten by God.
7But the very hairs of your head are all counted. Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows.
A short reflection
Jesus encourages disciples facing persecution to trust God, who remembers even sparrows and knows the number of hairs on their heads.
