Growing beyond Your Sight
My dear son,
After a farmer plants a seed, it grows even while the farmer sleeps. First comes the shoot, then the head, and finally the full grain. The growth of my kingdom reaches beyond what human eyes and hands can account for.
Do your part carefully today and entrust the season of growth to your Father. A seed does not need to be dug up every day to check its progress. Let your patience protect what is precious.
You can trust me and wait without understanding everything. Share my word, do good, and continue your responsibilities. Live today trusting the work I do as the seed sprouts and the harvest ripens.
With all my love,
Your Father
Mark 4:26–29
WEB26He said, “God’s Kingdom is as if a man should cast seed on the earth,
27and should sleep and rise night and day, and the seed should spring up and grow, though he doesn’t know how.
28For the earth bears fruit by itself: first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear.
29But when the fruit is ripe, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.”
A short reflection
Jesus compares God's kingdom to seed that grows toward harvest even though the farmer does not fully understand the process.
