The Heart behind a Helping Hand
My dear son,
If you can help a neighbor in need, take time to understand the need. I receive that kindness as something precious offered to me. Even help that looks small to others matters to your Father.
Before deciding what you want to give, ask what would help. Choose your words and manner with care so the person receiving assistance does not feel diminished. Let respect be part of what you offer.
Do not choose whom to love by calculating what might come back to you. Share honestly from what you can manage. Entrust the good to your Father and notice your neighbor today. I treasure the mercy you give.
With all my love,
Your Father
