Growing Wiser Together

My dear son,

Open your ears to advice from someone who cares about you today. As iron sharpens iron, people can grow wiser by thinking and talking together. You do not need to avoid every difference of opinion.

Look for something to learn, including in words that are not easy to hear. If you see something you should change, acknowledge it honestly. Your Father delights in your growth, without asking you to pretend to be perfect.

When you offer advice, set aside the desire to win. Speak truth with consideration for the other person. May today's conversations help both of you grow wiser and gain strength to live rightly.

With all my love,
Your Father
