Precious Beneath the Sky
My dear son,
As you stand beneath the morning sky, I want you to know how precious you are to me. I placed the moon and stars in their places, and I also watch over you as you live beneath them.
The size of the world and the number of people in it do not thin out my care for you. Do not regard your own life as insignificant. Treat your neighbors' lives with that same sense of their preciousness today.
Take a little time to notice the light, the breeze, or a familiar tree. Enjoy the world I made as you live the hours given to you. Share your gratitude with the Father who remembers and cares for you.
With all my love,
Your Father
Psalms 8:3–4
WEB3When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained,
4what is man, that you think of him? What is the son of man, that you care for him?
A short reflection
Looking at the created heavens, the psalmist marvels that God remembers and cares for human beings.
