Keep Me Close
My dear son,
I am beside you as this day begins. I do not draw near only while you pray and then disappear when you begin your work. Keep me close through ordinary meals and time spent with other people.
When a decision arises, ask me about it. When something delights you, tell me. You do not have to reach a special place before calling my name. You can speak at any time to the Father beside you.
When events around you unsettle your heart, keep your center in me. Live today trusting that I am at your right hand. Where you direct your attention as you walk can help steady your whole day.
