The Hope of Living Together
My dear son,
At the heart of the hope I promise is the joy of living together. In the new heaven and new earth, I will dwell among people and they will be my people. Our relationship will not remain a matter of looking from afar.
As you wait for that day, I want you to draw close to me now. Tell me your little joys and long-held hopes. The Father's desire to be with you includes an attentive ear for the stories of your life.
Care tenderly for yourself and those near you as you rest this evening. Enjoy the happiness of being together with kindness. I love you as you live today in trust in the promise of our full life together.

WEB1I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth have passed away, and the sea is no more.
2I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband.

A short reflection
John sees a new heaven, a new earth, and the descending New Jerusalem, and hears that God will dwell with humanity and they will be his people.
