A Prayer for Roots in Love
My dear son,
I want you to grow strong within, as well as appear strong outwardly. As Paul prayed for believers to be strengthened in their inner being through the Spirit, entrust the deep places of your heart to my help.
Like a tree growing from its roots, may your life take root in love. You can live by the faith through which Christ makes his home in you, rather than swaying with every response you receive from other people.
Tell me today what kind of person you hope to become. Time spent caring for the unseen heart is precious. Your Father wants you to know you are loved, and to grow generous in the way you treat people through that love.

A short reflection
Paul kneels before the Father and prays for believers to be strengthened inwardly through the Spirit, for Christ to dwell in their hearts through faith, and for their lives to be rooted in love.
