Hope Shared with Creation

My dear son,

The salvation I am bringing to completion is greater than what you can see today. Creation and the children who have received the Spirit are waiting for renewal. You, too, can live in hope before you see it all.

When you encounter beauty, enjoy it fully. When you see painful realities, bring those feelings to me as well. Hope does not require you to hide every groan. I listen to the prayers of those who are waiting.

Tonight, remember with care the living things that share your world. Tend faithfully what is yours to care for now, and entrust completion to me. I want you to await my promise with trust instead of being driven by impatience.

With all my love,
Your Father

Romans 8:22–25

WEB

22For we know that the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now.

23Not only so, but ourselves also, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for adoption, the redemption of our body.

24For we were saved in hope, but hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for that which he sees?

25But if we hope for that which we don’t see, we wait for it with patience.

A short reflection

Paul explains that creation and believers who have the Spirit groan while awaiting the completion of redemption, and teaches patient hope for what is not yet seen.
