What Are You Planting?
My dear son,
The things you give your heart to each day are like seeds planted in your life. I want you to follow the Spirit and sow love and truth, rather than only cultivating the desires that demand immediate satisfaction.
Even small choices, repeated over time, help form the road you travel. I see more than the part that looks good to other people. As your Father, I lovingly notice where you spend your time and attention.
Tell me this evening how you hope to grow. If there is a habit you want to change, ask for help. Instead of measuring all of tomorrow's fruit today, carefully tend the good seed you can plant now.
With all my love,
Your Father
Galatians 6:7–8
WEB7Don’t be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
8For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
A short reflection
Paul warns that God cannot be mocked: sowing to the flesh brings corruption, while sowing to the Spirit brings eternal life.
