A Place for My Word at Home
My dear son,
I do not want to be only a guest who briefly visits your life. I have promised to make my home with those who love Jesus and keep his word. My love wants to share the ordinary places where you live.
Let the care you give my words become part of your choices. You can love me through a gentle answer and through work handled honestly. Our love is present in more than the moments when a special feeling rises within you.
Open your day before me freely tonight. We can share what brought joy and what deserves another look. Instead of searching far away for a place where I might stay, make room for me close to your daily life.
With all my love,
Your Father
John 14:23–24
WEB23Jesus answered him, “If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.
24He who doesn’t love me doesn’t keep my words. The word which you hear isn’t mine, but the Father’s who sent me.
A short reflection
Jesus says that those who love him keep his word, and that the Father and Son will come and make their home with them.
