The Messiah Revealed in Conversation

My dear son,

You do not have to wait for an extraordinary time or place to seek me. In a conversation with a woman beside a well, Jesus made known that he was the Messiah she was waiting for.

I want you to discover my love within ordinary days. You do not have to resolve every question before you meet me. You can draw close now as you read Scripture and tell me honestly what you are thinking.

Bring me a question you have carried for a long time tonight. You do not need to step back because you do not understand everything about me. Receive the love that has spoken to you, and let yourself live close to your Father.

26Jesus said to her, “I am he, the one who speaks to you.”

A short reflection

When the Samaritan woman says she is waiting for the Messiah, Jesus reveals that he, the one speaking with her, is that Messiah.
