Asking Together in Jesus' Name

My dear son,

I treasure the place where people join their hearts in my name. A gathering does not have to be large to matter. Jesus is present even when two or three people come together with love for one another to pray.

When something needs resolving in your life together, seek my will before trying to win against each other. I gladly receive the desire to listen carefully to someone's story and to put your relationship on a sound footing.

Tell me tonight about someone you would like to pray with. Do not dismiss the sincere prayers offered in a small gathering. My desire is for you to care for one another together, held within the love I have given you.

With all my love,
Your Father

19Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven.

20For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them.”

A short reflection

Following teaching on addressing wrongdoing within the community, Jesus speaks of prayer offered in agreement and promises his presence among two or three gathered in his name.
