The Road That Leads to Life
My dear son,
A road does not become yours to follow simply because many people are taking it. I want you to consider where it leads, more than how wide it looks. My desire is for you to walk toward life.
Jesus told you to choose the narrow gate because your life is precious. Do not let the pursuit of convenience cost you honesty and love. Bring your choices into the light of the words I have given you.
Tonight, let your heart rest from trying to keep pace with everyone else. Tell me about the faith you want to hold dear. Even if few people notice, I value the path you walk in obedience to my teaching.
With all my love,
Your Father
Matthew 7:13–14
WEB13“Enter in by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in by it.
14How narrow is the gate and the way is restricted that leads to life! There are few who find it.
A short reflection
Jesus warns that the broad gate and easy road lead to destruction, and calls people to enter the narrow gate that leads to life, though few find it.
