Wisdom Found Close at Hand
My dear son,
You do not always need to travel far to find wisdom. There is something to learn in the words you hear nearby and the people sharing your day. I hope you become someone who attends kindly to ordinary life.
Do not let your eyes remain fixed on the ends of the earth while missing the teaching beside you. Receive small experiences deeply and ask me about them. As your Father, I am glad even when one simple thing becomes clear to you.
Tell me what you learned this evening, even if it came from something ordinary. Carry gladly the wisdom you can use tomorrow, and rest now. Your day is precious ground for learning love.
With all my love,
Your Father
Proverbs 17:24
WEB24Wisdom is before the face of one who has understanding, but the eyes of a fool wander to the ends of the earth.
A short reflection
Proverbs contrasts the discerning person who keeps wisdom close with the fool whose eyes wander to the ends of the earth.
