Respect within Your Laughter

My dear son,

It makes me glad to see you laughing with others. When kindness lives inside laughter, people grow closer. You do not need to make someone small to become worth more yourself. Be at ease in the value you already have.

I give grace to the humble. Gladly accept that another person has something to teach you, and treat them with respect. I hope you learn to offer a warm smile instead of closing your heart through mockery.

As you remember today's conversations, share whatever makes you grateful. If a word needs correcting, put it right honestly. I want the speech of my beloved child to offer people a gentle place to rest.

With all my love,
Your Father

Proverbs 3:34

WEB

34Surely he mocks the mockers, but he gives grace to the humble.

A short reflection

Proverbs contrasts the Lord's response to mockers with his favor toward the humble, teaching that he opposes scorn and grants grace to humility.
