Beside the Tree of Wisdom
My dear son,
May your heart find ease beside wisdom, like someone sitting in the shade of a good tree. What I want to teach you reaches beyond the skill of winning arguments. I want you to see ways that sustain your life and your neighbor's.
Keep wisdom near like a tree of life. As your learning grows, I will be glad to see your words grow kinder and your choices more honest. I want you to enjoy the peace and delight of that path.
Tell me something you discovered this evening. It is all right to still be learning. Like a tree, your heart takes time to grow. Enjoy that growth beside your Father, and rest comfortably.
