Lives Looking toward an Open Hand
My dear son,
Tell me freely about the ordinary business of feeding and sustaining yourself. Everyday needs are not too small for my attention. I want my care for life to reach you as you drink water and sit down to eat.
Rely on me as all creatures look toward my hand. I work in love and remain near to those who call sincerely. You do not need elaborate words; your honest call is welcome to me.
Enjoy tonight's provision gratefully, and think kindly of someone with whom you can share. You need not hide the details of daily living from me. Stay close as a Father and child who gladly share the ordinary stories of life.
With all my love,
Your Father
