A Joy Your Heart Can Keep
My dear son,
If I could place a lasting gift in your hands, I would give you wisdom that cares for your life. Keep close the words that bring enduring joy to your heart, beyond things that shine briefly and disappear. This is a Father's desire for his beloved child.
Receive my teaching as a precious inheritance: something to rely on and delight in throughout life, rather than an ornament to display. I speak to you because I want you to treasure love and truth to the very end.
Hold slowly whatever words remain in your heart tonight. You do not need to accomplish everything at once. I watch you with affection as you walk with me and learn my ways over time.
With all my love,
Your Father
