The Gratitude of Calling Me Your God
My dear son,
At the end of the day, I am glad when you call me your God. I hear in those words a desire to trust me and share your story, beyond knowing my name from a distance. I tenderly call you my beloved child too.
My goodness and steadfast love do not change with the mood of the day. I want to share a love that endures. As you come to know me, may gratitude and delight become something you enjoy freely.
Tell me what you want to leave with me this evening. We can smile together without an extraordinary story. I treasure seeing you close your day with the joy of being loved.
With all my love,
Your Father
Psalms 118:28–29
