A Heart That Wants Its Tears Remembered
My dear son,
I want you to know me as a Father who keeps your story carefully. What looks like a brief moment to someone else may remain in your heart for a long time. You need not prove to me how much it matters.
I want to treat your heart as tenderly as someone collecting tears in a bottle. Tell me about the road you have traveled. Even the days of wandering and circling back will not weary me. Speak honestly to the Father who knows you.
Share whatever you want to bring tonight. I welcome both smiling happiness and tears that come without words. Here is a Father who listens to your life with affection.
With all my love,
Your Father
Psalms 56:8–9
WEB8You count my wanderings. You put my tears into your container. Aren’t they in your book?
9Then my enemies shall turn back in the day that I call. I know this: that God is for me.
A short reflection
