A Psalm That Turns Toward Hope
My dear son,
Will you tell me how your heart feels tonight? If you are glad, I want to rejoice with you. If your spirits are low, I want to sit beside you. You never need to force a cheerful voice with me.
Even on a discouraging day, you can wait for me. Speaking honestly does not break the bond between us. Put your hope in the Father who does not turn away from your lament.
If you want to praise me, sing. If this is a night for few words, simply stay. Let us give your feelings time. Rest beside me with the hope that you will praise me again.
With all my love,
Your Father
