A Song Calling on Your Refuge
My dear son,
Thinking of a place where you can settle comfortably at day's end stirs my affection for you. Having someone you love to return to is a precious gift. I want to be a Father you can call that near.
If a day feels like rushing floodwater, call on me as your refuge. I value your willingness to seek help and protect your life more than any display of enduring everything alone. You can tell your Father even the difficult parts.
If tonight is peaceful, enjoy it gratefully. Share the kindness that notices whether someone else has a place to rest. As your heart dwells in my love, may you become a warm and welcoming presence for another person.
With all my love,
Your Father
Psalms 32:6–7
WEB6For this, let everyone who is godly pray to you in a time when you may be found. Surely when the great waters overflow, they shall not reach to him.
7You are my hiding place. You will preserve me from trouble. You will surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah.
A short reflection
