Grace That Calls You Into Freedom

My dear son,

Today I want to bring you news of freedom. In Jesus, you are released from condemnation. Life is a gift of grace; you need not keep trying to secure it by proving yourself innocent.

Rely on the life-giving Spirit who frees you from the rule of sin and death. Confess wrongs honestly when you need to. I do not want you to abandon yourself as someone beyond the reach of forgiveness.

Ask for strength to live anew, and consider how to love responsibly. Tonight, pause the harsh judgments you keep passing on yourself. May your heart have room to breathe in the life and freedom your Father gives.

With all my love,
Your Father

2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.

A short reflection
