Call Me Father
My dear son,
Will you call me Father today? You can begin with that name, without a long greeting. I welcome you close as my beloved child, free to come without the fear of a servant held in bondage.
The Spirit bears witness that you are my child. You do not need a complete set of abilities before calling your Father. Tell me your happy stories and the things you need, just as they are in your heart.
Tonight, set aside the question of how well you have prayed. Sit comfortably beside me as a child sits near a parent. Enjoy the love in which we share our hearts as family, and let the day come to rest.
With all my love,
Your Father
