Wisdom for Handling Anger
My dear son,
If anger remains as you look back over today, tell me about it first. Let us consider what touched such a tender place. I want you to be able to speak honestly with me about your anger.
Pause before those feelings become words or actions that hurt someone. Ask for my wisdom instead of revisiting the hurt until resentment grows. What you need to say can wait until you are calm enough to say it well.
If an apology is needed, prepare it honestly. Tonight, do not let anger occupy every corner of your heart. Catch your breath beside your loving Father and turn your heart toward peace.
With all my love,
Your Father
Ephesians 4:26–27

27and don’t give place to the devil.
A short reflection
Paul warns believers not to let anger lead to sin or linger in a way that gives evil an opportunity.
