Pour Out Your Heart

My dear son,

Will you tell me a little of what is really on your heart tonight? You do not need to stand at a distance deciding where to begin. An ordinary detail is a good place to start. I am ready to listen patiently.

You may also bring out the thoughts you have tucked away deep inside. I am your refuge. The way to me is open when you are happy and when you are upset.

Your story does not need a conclusion before you share it. Let me hear your heart, then rest a while. Finish the day at ease with your Father, knowing you are always welcome to lean on me and speak.
