A Love That Cannot Be Broken

My dear son,

There is something I especially want you to hear tonight. My love for you in Jesus is not a passing feeling. I do not hold you close only on the days when you can clearly feel that you are loved.

Neither the present nor the days still ahead, neither anything high nor anything deep, can separate you from that love. I am your Father, close to you as you walk through life.

Bring me your happy stories and the questions whose answers you are still seeking. There is room for all of them within my love. Stay comfortably beside me at the end of this day, trust my love, and rest well.
