Light for the Next Step

A lamp on a dark road lets you see the ground just ahead of your feet. I want my word to be that kind of light in your life. You can take a good step today without knowing the whole distant future.

Ask me what words and actions to choose in front of you now. Keep my teaching close when truthfulness or consideration for someone else is called for. I am your Father, bringing light to your path.

You need not complete every plan tonight. Slowly read something that can illuminate tomorrow's small choices. Trust the light that guides you, leave today's path with me, and rest.
