Ask for Strength Through My Word
My dear son,
When sorrow weighs on your heart, you can still come to read my words. You do not have to become cheerful before we meet. Your Father hears your prayer asking for strength.
If you do not have the energy to read much, stay with one verse that reaches you. Consider slowly the promises I have given. Instead of scolding your heart, rely on me and ask for renewed strength.
If tonight is comfortable, enjoy its quiet with me. If you need comfort, tell me your story just as it is. Let the words I offer stay close to you as you settle quietly and rest your body.
With all my love,
Your Father
