Remember Whose Love Holds You
My dear son,
The Father who made you wants to greet you tenderly tonight. Before anything can be said about what you do well, you are a life precious to me. A list of accomplishments could never express the depth of my love for you.
As a shepherd tends the flock, I care for my people. Stay within that care and depend on me. Beside me, you belong among children who are loved together.
Tell me freely what you appreciate in your life and what you hope for. Treat the people near you as precious lives I have created, too. Entrust this day to the Father who made you, and rest peacefully.
With all my love,
Your Father
Psalms 100:3
WEB3Know that the LORD, he is God. It is he who has made us, and we are his. We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
A short reflection
The psalm calls people to recognize God as their maker and themselves as his people and the sheep of his pasture.
