You Do Not Have to Hide

If remembering today brings a wrong to mind, do not pull away from me while trying to hide it. You can tell me the truth. I want you to know me as the Father to whom you can honestly return.

I will not listen to your confession and then withdraw forgiveness on a whim. Trust the mercy I have promised. When you acknowledge a wrong, I do not reduce you to that one failure.

If someone needs an apology, prepare to offer it sincerely. If something needs to change, let us look at it together. Rest tonight as someone forgiven, relying on my grace to help you live honestly again.
