Be Still and Rest
My dear son,
Pause your hands for a little while and be with me. I want you to have time when nothing needs organizing or accomplishing. Even without words, I enjoy spending this night with you.
I am the God who rules the earth. You do not have to take responsibility for everything happening in the world. Live faithfully within your own responsibilities, and loosen your grip on what lies beyond them.
If there is something you want to entrust to me today, tell me freely. Then rest quietly for a while if you like. Rely on your Father and allow those busy hands and thoughts to become still.
