Following Light and Truth
My dear son,
I am glad for this time when you draw close to me. I want to guide you along a good path and share the joy of being together. If something is unclear, ask for my light and truth.
Look carefully for what is true, even when it takes you beyond the words that are easiest to hear. As you follow truth, come to know me more deeply. May the joy of meeting your loving Father take root in your heart.
In the quiet tonight, you can sing your thanks or bring me your questions. Your coming makes me glad. Rely on the love that guides you, and finish this day peacefully.

WEB3Oh, send out your light and your truth. Let them lead me. Let them bring me to your holy hill, to your tents.
4Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my exceeding joy. I will praise you on the harp, God, my God.
A short reflection
The psalmist asks God's light and truth to lead him into God's presence, where he can worship with joy.
