I Will Be Your Light

My dear son,

Tonight I want you to hear who I am with tenderness. I am your light, the Father who saves you. I am here as a refuge where you can return and feel at home.

When something frightens you, remember me as you face it. You may ask for help and seek wisdom. Share what is in your heart while relying on the one who treasures your life.

Before you go to bed, give your mind something beyond another round of anxious thoughts. Talk with me for a while and let your body settle comfortably. May you receive, with quiet warmth tonight, the love of the Father who brings light to your life.
