The Courage to Wait

My dear son,

What I want you to know today is my goodness. I want to spend a lifetime with you as you discover what kind of Father I am. When there is waiting to do, stay beside me and tell me how you feel.

Do not put away your hope too quickly, as though the result you see now were the whole story. Waiting takes courage. I value the time you spend living faithfully and looking to me.

Do calmly what is yours to do, and entrust the rest to me. You need not force an answer into existence tonight. Rest your body and heart as my child, relying on my goodness.

With all my love,
Your Father
